London, 12th of September, 2007- IDT Europe, one of the world's leading providers of calling card services, today announced the launch of IDT Mobile, a new, SIM-card-only Pay-As-You-Go mobile phone service designed for frequent international callers. The launch will be the first virtual operator to go live on the Orange network in the UK.
IDT Mobile offers a simple pricing plan, extremely competitive rates and no monthly fees or hidden costs. International calls start at 6p per minute. National calls are 15p per minute while SMS prices are set at 10p for both national and international texts.
Customers will be able to subscribe to IDT Europe, effective immediately, by purchasing a SIM pack from selected convenience stores across the UK. Customer support will be provided by IDT on 0207 028 9893.
John Roberts, Retail Director, IDT Europe said: "We are delighted to be able to launch IDT Mobile in the UK so quickly after our launch in Holland and Belgium less than a year ago. It is a very simple formula; cheap international rates and great national tariffs; one mobile phone, one provider. Combined with Orange's UK mobile expertise, our customers get an unparalleled price and quality advantage."
Keith Greenfield, Director of Wholesale, Orange UK said: "The launch of IDT Europe in the UK is significant for us because it will be the first virtual operator to run its services wholly on the Orange network. A number of future virtual operators are now choosing to run their businesses on Orange because of the high quality of our network and service we are able to provide them with."
IDT Mobile puts inexpensive international communications at the heart of its service. This will enable many sectors of the UK population, particularly those new to the UK from the European Union and other continents, to keep in touch with their friends and family in their countries of origin without having to worry about expensive phone bills. For more information, please contact:
