London UK, 8 September 2004 - IDT Europe today announced its UK consumer telecoms brand, Toucan, is the exclusive sponsor of the Five flagship strand "America's Finest." IDT Europe is part of IDT Corporation (NYSE: IDT, IDT.C) an international telecoms, entertainment and technology company.
The Toucan brand and portfolio of consumer communications services includes ToucanTalk, the first UK landline service to break the ?10-a-month price barrier with its "All-You-Can" fixed-price package.
The sponsorship, which includes on-air promotional credits preceding and during the programming strand and promotional placements during Five's own on- and off-air support for the "America's Finest" strand, is set to run over the next five months. An option to renew for a further seven months, following the launch of the highly regarded CSI - NY in February 2005, is also part of the agreement. The Toucan promotional placements began airing on 7 September.

"America's Finest" is the flagship Five drama strand and features eight of the highest-rating US shows available on UK TV, including the highly acclaimed CSI, CSI: Miami, Law & Order, Law & Order: SVU, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Boomtown, The Lyon's Den and cult favourite The Shield.

The sponsorship program was skillfully crafted to maximise its effectiveness. Toucan worked closely with Brett Davey of Five's Creative Services to ensure the sponsorship credits link Toucan's brand identity with the format and style of the shows.
